The Islamic Oligarchy in Iran in Comparison to the Oligarchy in Russia

In the eyes of some of our compatriots, the Islamic Republic considers itself as as Russia’s number one ally, and according to some other comrades, Russia has turned the Islamic Republic into one of its satellite states. We also know that since the beginning of the Islamic Republic, the military, security, and economic terms, it has been heavily dependent on Russian policies and their main leaders have been sent to study in Russian universities.
The treacherous Tudeh Party, founded during the occupation of our beloved Iran in September 1941 by order of Joseph Stalin, was one of Khomeini’s allied organizations in 1979, and .listed Khomeini, as the modern Shiite prophet in its publications.
Even today, poets such as Mr. Sayeh and writers such as Mr. Dolatabadi, who have had a history of membership in this party, have a 41 year history of cooperation with Khomeini and then with Khamenei. We also know that some members of the Tudeh Party were trained in the Soviet Union, and we also know that during the creation of the intelligence services of the Islamic Republic, Russian specialists were at the forefront of training the Islamic Republic’s specialized personnel. We also aware that Mr. Putin has come to the aid of the Islamic Republic during certain critical times. So if I can prove to you how Mr. Putin and two hundred Russian oligarchs were able to rob most of Russia’s wealth, you will understand the scope of the disaster that can befall our beloved Iran.
One would see and wonder how through different transmissions such as the Gorbachev’s reform project, and then during the transfer of power to the Yeltsin transitional government, the Soviet Union’s national wealth were transferred to a few select nameless individuals?
Interestingly it is very evident that the middle-management class of the Soviet Union or their children today have amassed that the legendary fortune for themselves, and today Mr. Vladimir Putin, a former KGB officer, and these chic oligarchs have full control of Russia. It’s true that the communist symbol, the Red Star, has been replaced by a dollar sign, but the Russian people still have no access to their country’s wealth. The donkey is the same as the donkey, but its saddle has changed.
It is at this point that most friends realize that we are in the midst of a media coup. A coup by the fraudulent Farsi language London media that does not responsive to the audience about its budgets amongst other things. A city that is the center of global banking and the same city that, after Moscow, & St. Petersburg, is the third wealth base of Russian oligarchs. From Ibrahimovic, the owner of the Chelsea football team, to the palaces and casinos, and so on and so forth… Interestingly, London has always been the center of export of the ayatollahs’ kins and other persons with “Islamic good genes”, In addition to a large number of Persian-language media outlets.
Fox News Weekly recently published an article based on the state of Iran’s oil wealth, noting that every Iranian family’s share of the total GDP of Iran’s oil and Iran’s mineral and underground resources equals $588 per person or $ 2,088 for each 3.5-person family. According to the report, Iran has 157 billion barrels of oil reserves, making it the fourth largest country in the world after Canada, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. In terms of gas reserves after Russia, Iran is in second place in the world with 34 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves.
We know that the Islamic Republic has exported about $48 billion to $50 billion in oil exports and $10 billion in petrochemical products over the last 5 years ending in 2017. The Islamic Republic is estimated to have spent $12 billion on that money salaries and subsidies for the Iranian people. In other words, about one-fifth of this $60 billion has been spent on the Iranian people. It is estimated that the Islamic Republic has sold about $ 1,400 billion in oil in the past four years ending in 2017. I would like to remind you that about five years ago, a member of the Islamic Majlis Assembly accidentally revealed that the Inspector General was unable to locate $300 billion in oil sales. That’s equivalent to a total loss of oil revenues for five years.
Let’s not forget that the Islamic Republic also gains revenue from taxes, the repayment of various loans, and the economic activities of its religious and ideological institutions. So we can easily conclude that there is a huge amount of wealth in the hands of the Islamic Republic that is not in the public domain.
Where is this hidden wealth? From enormous tracts of land, gardens, and palaces to private factories and industries, to commercial and trading establishments, to retail companies, the thieves of this national wealth cannot take their money out of Iran in suitcases. President Trump has taken away this option with his administration’s maximum pressure campaign. This is exactly what happened in Russia in 1991.
I have repeatedly said that the Islamic Republic is a religious oligarchy. So our problem is not just with Khamenei. I can easily claim that the Islamic Republic today is beyond its constitution, more than its obligatory hijab, it is beyond the Revolutionary Guards & Quds force. Just as the Qajar’s “1000 families”, even after the dissolution of the Qajar dynasty, roamed the corridors of political and economic arenas with money stolen from national wealth, so does the Islamic Republic. The power of the republic is not from Khamenei, Islamic law, or his army of terrorists. The Islamic Republic’s power lies in the influence it can buy with $400 billion in stolen oil revenues as well as another $600 billion to $700 billion, which is four-fifths of the revenue that is not spent on the Iranian people. The same $600 billion to $700 billion that the ayatollahs spend on international terrorism, in investments in Canada, Europe and Australia, and the rest on political organizations in the United States and the Democrat Party.
Russia, which has the world’s largest gas reserves and is a huge country, was controlled by the Soviet Communist Party for 73 years. As a result, the Party wielded enormous economic power. As Hashemi Rafsanjani said, Basij and IRGC forces must enter the country’s economy. At that time, Mohsen Sazegara was employed by Rafsanjani.
What does oligarch mean? Oligarch is a Greek word derived from a combination of two words. Oligoi meaning small amount, and Archen meaning leader or guide. So oligarchy means a time when the government is in the hands of a small number of people. This is what’s happening in Russia. In the Soviet Union, which bears a striking resemblance to the Islamic Republic, the Communist Party was the ruler. What party is ruling in Iran now? Hezbollah.
In the Soviet Union at the time, the Communist Party wielded all power, and in an economy power was centralized, all of the country’s economic power was in its hands. What happened? At the time of the Soviet Union’s was collapse as a result of Ronald Reagan’s arms race, the Soviet Union was on the verge of bankruptcy. Doesn’t this period remind you of the current shape of the Islamic Republic today or not?
What President Trump is currently doing to the Islamic Republic is exactly what Reagan did to the former Soviet Union. The Soviet Union, which lost not only its military power but also its economic power in the war in Afghanistan, is like today’s Islamic Republic situation in the Syria &Yemen, and the intervention of its proxy forces in Iraq, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip has reached full military and economic exhaustion.
In 1991, we see the end of Gorbachev’s era. A reminder that Gorbachev came into power in the mid-1980s with the slogan of transparency and freedom {Glastnost & Perestroyka). It reminds us of Khatami’s Chocolate colored robes and Rouhani’s purple key.
In any case, Gorbachev tried in vain for some time to save the Soviet Union from this scourge. In other words, the “reform” project of the Islamic Republic is a point taken from Gorbachev’s plan.
Gorbachev did not succeed, and this was due to a KGB psy/ops war that, like the reformists vs. fundamentalists, was a psy/ops of the Islamic Republic. Around the end of Gorbachev’s term as prime minister, Soviet fundamentalists staged a coup d’état, and immediately after the coup failed, Gorbachev stepped down in favor of a nameless, permanently inebriated, middle-manage named Boris Yeltsin. Incredibly, Yeltsin is introduced to the world public riding atop a Soviet army tank holding the flag of Tsarist Russia. Many people can recall this scene. Yeltsin, a second-rate Pulitboro director who is completely unknown, shines in a historic moment. Was this scene directed? How did the cameras of major international media, such as CNN and BBC and Deutsche Welle, accidentally film this scene? Isn’t that surprising?
So when Gorbachev’s reform project fails, an average anonymous director from the same apparatus, (read the reformists of the Islamic Associations), miraculously becomes the savior of the country? How similar is Yeltsin’s ascension to power to what’s happening in between the Islamic regime’s middle-managers and opposition groups?!
At the time, most Russians were happy with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Like the majority of the Iranian people who will welcome the collapse of the Islamic Republic. At the same time, there were many writers and intellectuals in Russia who warned the public that the collapse of the Russian nation might not lead to the promised destination, and they were correct. In parallel with this incident, we Iranians are witnessing several ongoing power plays. As the poet states, “a sinking man grabs on to any helping hand”.
Let’s go back to the reign of Boris Yeltsin. During this period, something happened in Russia that had never happened before in the history of the world. During this time we are witnesses to the emergence of a power class in Russia, which we have called the Russian oligarchs. We see that this oligarchic class is taking over England like the Chelsea football team, and several City of London banks, or the pleasure boats that even the King of Saudi Arabia has not dreamed of. The remarkable thing is that all of this oligarchic class bears the record of having been in middle-management in the Communist Party. What is meant by middle- management? This means, for example, that he was either a former governor or mayor, or a judge, or a prosecutor, or a member of parliament, or the branch manager of a state-owned industrial enterprise. Another common denominator of this new class is close or family ties to members of the Communist Party or the KGB. It reminds me of former members of the Office of Islamic Unity and Islamic Associations, in addition to former or retired IRGC middle-managers.
Let’s take a brief look at the wealth of these Russian oligarchs.
Victor and Vekelsberg Owner of Renova Inc. Wealth $ 11.4 billion
Roman Abramovich is owner of Millhouse Holding and Chelsea football team with a fortune of $ 11.5 billion.
Alexei Mardachev owns Sevorstal. Wealth $ 19.7 billion
Leonid Mikhelson, owner of Novatek Oil Company. $ 20.5 billion in wealth
When we look at these figures, a point is hidden. Compared to the numbers with lost (read stolen), Iranian oil money shows that about two hundred to three hundred families contributed to this theft. Now the question is, would it be worth it for these thieves to protect themselves from being blown away by investing in a particular path to overthrowing the ayatollahs’ regime?
This is exactly what the two hundred or so major Russian oligarchs did in the early days of the Yeltsin government, which began to privatize the communist state-owned industries, and they used secret information to divide all these assets amongst themselves. All of this was done during Yeltsin’s reign. In fact Yeltsin’s transitional government was a device for transferring power and wealth from the Communist Party to the newly formed class of oligarchs.
Who comes to power after Boris Yeltsin’s mission ended? Vladimir Putin, a high-ranking retired KGB agent who comes to power during Yeltsin’s presidency as the new head of the GRU intelligence service. The question is, how did a repressive intelligence officer become prime minister and people not protest? Answer: At the same time, Yeltsin was being harassed by all Russian media outlets who were now under the control of the oligarchs, and no one was allowed to tarnish Putin’s image. Thus, one of the same communist oppressors became the first face of the Russian Republic. Why?
Between 1996 and 2000, Russian oligarchs were able to take control of between 55 and 70 percent of Russia’s economy. Let’s go back to Iran’s oil revenues. We said that of the $60 billion in annual revenue, only $12 billion is spent on the Iranian people. That’s about 55 to 70 percent of Iran’s oil that is stolen annually.
Now we have to ask ourselves, which of these people who are ever-present in the Persian-language media are there on a mission to protect those ill-gotten gains of the Iranian oligarchs?
In my humble opinion, a long list of people who have suddenly become fierce anti-regime talking heads and have taken over Farsi speaking media are expecting to become oligarchs on the day after the liberation of our beloved Iran.
